Troubleshooting VitalSource Account Sign-In and Email Issues

If you’re having trouble signing in to your VitalSource account, need to update your email address, or think you may have more than one account, use the information below to determine your next step.

I Can’t Sign In With My Email or Password

If your email address or password is not allowing you to sign in, first make sure your browser or device is not automatically entering an old password.

  1. Go to the VitalSource sign-in page.
  2. Remove any email address or password automatically filled in by your browser or password manager.
  3. Manually enter your email address and password.
  4. Try signing in again.

If you still cannot sign in, you can reset your password here:

https://login.vitalsource.com/forgot

Be sure to use the email address associated with the VitalSource account you are trying to access.

I Need to Reset My Password

If you know the email address associated with your account but do not know your password, use the Forgot Passwordoption:

https://login.vitalsource.com/forgot

Follow the instructions to reset the password for that account.

If you have multiple VitalSource accounts, resetting the password for one account does not change the password or sign-in information for your other accounts.

I Want to Change My Email Address

You may be able to update the email address associated with your VitalSource account through the VitalSource Account Center.

  1. Sign in to your VitalSource Account Center.
  2. Locate the Email field for your account.
  3. Enter your preferred email address.
  4. Select Save.

Important: Faculty Sampling Accounts

If you use your VitalSource account to access the Faculty Sampling Portal, do not change your account email solely to move your sampling access to another email address.

Faculty sampling access may be associated with the email address that was reviewed and approved by the publisher. Because of this, Support may not be able to change the email address associated with sampling access or merge that account into another VitalSource account.

If your account is associated with Faculty Sampling and you need to change your email address or combine accounts, contact Customer Support before making changes.

Support will need to review the accounts and sampling access to determine what options are available.

I Think I Have Multiple VitalSource Accounts

It is possible to have more than one VitalSource account registered under different email addresses.

Each account has its own sign-in information. Updating the email address or password for one account does not automatically update your other VitalSource accounts.

I Know the Email Addresses and Want to Access One of My Other Accounts

Sign out of your current account and sign in using the email address associated with the other account.

If you do not know the password for that account, reset it here:

https://login.vitalsource.com/forgot

Enter the email address for the specific account you are trying to access.

I Want to Merge My Accounts

If you have multiple VitalSource accounts and would like to combine them, contact Customer Support so the accounts can be reviewed.

If either account is associated with Faculty Sampling, let Support know before any account changes are made.

Faculty sampling access may have been approved by a publisher for a specific email address. This can affect whether the accounts can be merged or which account information can be changed.

Support will review the accounts and determine what options are available.

I Want to Keep My Accounts Separate

No action is required.

You can continue using each account separately by signing in with the email address and password associated with that account.

Changes made to one account will not automatically change your other accounts.

Still Having Trouble With Your Account?
